Rasulullah (saw) said;

“I am the city of knowledge and Ali is the Door”

Name: Ali

Title:  Haydar, Asadullah and Murtadha

Birth: He was born 10 years before Nubuwat.

Parents: His Father’s name was Abu Talib and his Mother’s name was Faatima

Virtues:  He was the first child to accept Islam. When Nabi (saw) went for Hijrah, he remained behind in the bed of Nabi (saw). He then returned the valuables which were kept in trust by Nabi (saw). He married Hadhrat Faatima (RA), the youngest daughter of Rasulullah (saw). In single combat, he killed Waleed with one strike in the Battle of Badr. During the life of Rasulullah (saw), his greatest conquest was the fort of Khaibar. He was appointed as the fourth Khalifa of the Muslims.

Demise: He was martyred by Ibnu Muljim who struck him on his head with his sword. He passed away in the month of Ramadhaan in the year 40 A.H.
