Aims and Objectives

of Jamia Masjid and Usmania Education  Centre  are to provide and address religious, cultural and emotional needs of the Muslim communities living in Netheredge, Sharrow, Millhouses  including:

1. Promote the Islamic Religion through the provision support and maintenance of:

(a) a Mosque;

(b) provision of Islamic facilities for marriages, funerals, akikah and pastoral care;

(c) facilities for the organisation of the Annual Hajj and Zakat collections;

2. Advance the education of children and young Muslims in the Islamic faith;

3. Educate the public on Islam;

4. Provide or assist in the provision of facilities to groups or organisations (including non-Muslim groups or organisations) whose members have need of such social or recreational facilities by reason of their age, youth, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life, provided that the provision of such facilities is compatible with the principles of the Islamic religion and the religious activities of the mosque.
